SpotDrive
Stop data leaks in Google Drive before they happen
Scan your entire Google Workspace for oversharing, public links, and risky permissions. Get fixes in minutes.
The Problem
Your Google Drive is a security blind spot
IT teams have no visibility into what files are shared externally, publicly, or with risky permissions.
- No easy way to audit thousands of files
- Manual reviews take weeks of work
- Former employees may still have access
- Public links created years ago—still active
What's at Stake
The risks are real—and expensive
- Sensitive data exposed to the internet without your knowledge
- Failed compliance audits (SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR)
- Data breaches traced back to overshared files
- Hours wasted manually checking file permissions

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SpotDrive
Does SpotDrive require full admin access to my Google Workspace?
No. SpotDrive uses OAuth scopes that provide read-only access to file metadata and sharing permissions. We never have access to file contents, and you can revoke access at any time from your Google Admin console.
What data do you store?
We store file metadata (names, paths, permissions) and scan results for reporting. We never store file contents. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit, and you can request data deletion at any time.
Can I run SpotDrive on multiple Google Workspace domains?
Yes! Pro and Team plans support multi-domain scanning. Each domain is connected separately and can have its own scan schedules and team members.
How long does a scan take?
First scans typically take 5-30 minutes depending on the number of files. Subsequent scans are faster as they only check for changes. You'll get an email when your scan completes.
Is there a free trial?
Yes! Our Free plan lets you scan up to 1,000 files with no time limit. You can upgrade to Pro anytime to unlock unlimited scanning, bulk fixes, and continuous monitoring.
Can I fix issues directly from SpotDrive?
Yes. SpotDrive can revoke public links, remove external access, and change sharing settings directly—no need to visit Google Drive. All fixes are logged for audit trails.
Do you support Shared Drives (Team Drives)?
Absolutely. SpotDrive scans both My Drive and Shared Drives. You'll see separate reports for each, with permission details specific to Shared Drive inheritance.
What compliance frameworks do you help with?
SpotDrive helps with SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001 by providing file sharing audits, access reports, and continuous monitoring. We provide template reports aligned with auditor requirements.
